It was five years ago when this group of friends celebrated the milestone of turning 50 by raising money to meet the needs of Africans? And we continue to celebrate---this is our sixth party! Who would have thought that "turning 50-something" could be so much fun or that so much fun could yield so much good?
In five years almost $300,000 has been donated to African Leadership through this event. Those donations have funded Bibles for pastor training, orphan care in Malawi, microloans in Gulu, Uganda, a childcare facility in Khayelitsha, South Africa and partial funding for a vocational school in Kibera, Kenya.
This year, in addition to supporting pastor training and orphan care
through African Leadership,
we are also supporting
Exile International, a local organization that ministers to children
traumatized by war in Uganda and DR Congo.
