Can you believe...
it was four years ago when this group of friends celebrated the milestone of turning 50 by raising money to meet the needs of Africans? And we continue to celebrate---this is our fifth party! Who would have thought that "turning 50-something" could be so much fun or that so much fun could yield so much good?In total almost $250,000 has been donated to African Leadership through this event. Those donations have funded Bibles for pastor training, orphan care in Malawi, microloans in Gulu, Uganda, a childcare facility in Khayelitsha, South Africa and partial funding for a vocational school in Kibera, Kenya.
This year, in addition to supporting pastor training and orphan care through African Leadership, we are also highlighting and supporting Amazima Ministries through 147 Million Orphans. If you are not familiar with their work, please look them up at www.147MillionOrphans.com and www.Amazima.org.
